Senior Teacher
I began studying T'ai Chi Ch'uan in 1984 with
Dr. John Kells of the British T'ai Chi Ch'uan Association.
I have practised continuously ever since and began teaching professionally in 1989.
I have taught at, trained and provided teachers for numerous fitness and leisure centres,
corporate clients and other organisations.
Whilst studying Acupuncture at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine
in Reading in 1994, I met
Dr. Shen Hongxun, founder of the Buqi Institute,
an organisation dedicated to bringing eastern knowledge to the west.
Born in Shanghai in 1939, Dr. Shen began his Taiji study aged 9,
and was, in my opinion, the epitome of authentic Taijiquan,
literally a living conduit to a past age,
possessed of skills, knowledge and abilities far beyond the means or understanding
of the modern generation of self styled famous teachers and "masters".
I subsequently left Acupuncture college to study his teachings
in Taijiquan, Taijiwuxigong, Wuxi Meditation and Buqi,
a Taiji based Energetic Healing system
which I have been a qualified practitioner of for many years.
As a result of my continuing interest and development
we formed the Heaven Mountain Taijiquan College UK in 1996
and I continue to study, develop and teach
Taiji, TaijiWuxiGong, Meditation, Qigong and Buqi Healing.
I am currently enjoying my 29th year of practising Taiji.
Classes run continuously throughout the year and there is a substantial programme
of weekend workshops and various seminars both in this country and abroad,
in association with Shen Hongxun College UK and Buqi Institute International.
