Taijiwuxigong is a sophisticated QiGong system for self-healing, developed from TaijiQuan through over 50 years of study and research. It could in simple terms be considered to be the Medical rather than the Martial end of the spectrum of Taiji training, utilising detailed Taiji based stretching and exercises, combined with Buqi healing forces. The day will be an entertaining and challenging mixture of stretching, meditation, practical exercises, philosophy, information transmission and spontaneous movement work.
You will learn how to Activate the Dantian, the core of the internal energy system, how to Develop Internal Force and how to use this force, combined with Mental Concentration, to expel sick, stale, stagnant and Negative Qi from your body, which can bring swift and profound changes.
This is moderate exercise designed to improve health, increase mobility and promote relaxation, which can alleviate many common health problems.
Please wear loose comfortable clothing and shoes and bring a blanket for Meditation and Floor exercises.
The day will run from 10.30am until 4.30pm, with a lunch break (1 hour).
You must make your own arrangements for lunch: go out or bring it with you.
Come and try it: The day is open to all,
but Advance booking is required for non-college students.

WORKSHOP CONTENTS
Taijiwuxigong is the Qigong system developed from TaijiQuan by Dr. Shen through over 50 years of study and research. It could be considered in simple terms to be the medical rather than the Martial end of the Taiji spectrum. A combination of Daoyin exercises and Spontaneous Movement can induce rapid and profound releases of old negative Qi. More details here
Tai Chi Push Hands. These Saturday morning classes explore the techniques and principles by which the Taiji movements reveal their martial history and content. Push Hands and Applications: Open to and safe for all levels.
Taiji 37: The original Taiji: the standing postures from which virtually all modern Taiji schools and forms were developed. This practice can initiate strong Spontaneous Movement of internal forces in the body and cause very rapid developmental changes. More details here
E-Mei Qigong: as taught by Shen Jin. Rarely taught, this traditional Buddhist Qigong practice was originally used both to develop physical strength and stamina and to enable the treatment of injuries. Very detailed and quite demanding. More details here
Buqi Healing: as taught by Dr Shen. The Buqi Healing system teaches one how to direct and utilise the internal forces and vibrations developed in Taiji and used for self-healing in Taijiwuxigong. These forces, once developed, can be transmitted to others and used for Healing. More details here
